Microsoft announced that Xbox LIVE is coming to PC, with Fable III, Age of Empires Online, and a new game inspired by Flight Simulator amongst the first titles to be available through the online service.
The announcement of LIVE for PC coincides with the expansion of Microsoft’s online community into the mobile market, with the launch of Windows Phone 7 this December. A whole raft of launch titles for their new mobile platform were premiered at Gamescom, including companion games for popular Xbox titles like Halo: Waypoint and Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst.
The LIVE experience will be fully synchronised across all platforms, with customisable Avatars and Gamerscores affected by whichever platform is used.
