Community Battlefield Manager zh1nt0, has posted on the official Bad Company 2 blog that he will be showcasing the expansion pack Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam, for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show.
The expansion pack includes 4 new maps with Vietnam specific weapons, vehicles, persistence, unlocks, and achievements/trophies.
Keep an eye out for exclusive footage of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam on the official Bad Company 2 Blog.
News from DICE’s “Community Wednesday” tells us that we should expect map pack 6 next week. No news however on what maps are included or if they are new maps.

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ingame store has once again given away info on the upcoming map pack. Map pack #5 is set to be released this Wednesday, July 28th and contains White Pass rush and Nelson Bay conquest. As with the previous map packs, this will be free for players who have entered a VIP code.

Don’t get too excited as it’s still not out. Latest comment from Dice is that they are fixing crashes on some maps
EA generally perform server maintenance on a Tuesday night so I suspect the patch will be then or wait another week …….
EA has priced and dated Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s upcoming cooperative Onslaught mode; June 22 on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points, the 23rd on PlayStation Network for £7.19.

A quick update on EA’s plans for the FPS market domination; VP and UK general manager Keith Ramsdale has told MCV that while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 won’t outsell Modern Warfare 2, it did lay a foundation.
“It’s been great,” he says. “The press reaction has been focused largely on how good the multiplayer is. It’s now recognised as genre defining, and the way the market’s going, that’s key.”
EA has long said that the DICE shooter and Medal of Honor will be the two titles it’s battling Call of Duty with this year. Bad Company 2 released in March and managed to exceed EA’s own sales expectations, while Medal of Honor was recently dated for a worldwide launch in October, almost a full month before Call of Duty: Black Ops.
